David is the founder and President of UP Consulting Ltd. and a Registered Professional Planner (RPP and MCIP). David has extensive land use planning, design and project management experience, accumulated in the public and private sectors. Prior to founding UP Consulting, David started his career in the public sector (Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the Region of Waterloo) and an interdisciplinary consulting firm.  His experience includes leading and participating in policy reviews, municipal Official Plan reviews, providing expert evidence at land use tribunals, and coordinating Official Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Plan of Subdivision, Plan of Condominium, Minor Variance, and Severance applications. Since 2023, David is also an occasional Sessional Lecturer in the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo. 

Nabila is an urban planner and researcher with educational background in geography and planning. She received a Masters of Arts in Planning degree at the University of Waterloo, where she is currently completing her PhD studies. Her research includes a lens of justice and care within public transit planning through incorporating narratives of people's daily lived experiences. In her work, she integrates planning theory and practice by focusing on policy solutions that combine best practice and feasibility. Outside of urban planning, she serves as a board member at a local organization, Focus on Ethnic Women, which focuses on supporting and empowering ethnic and immigrant women in the Region of Waterloo.
